  Great at online banking. However, NEVER get a loan from them. They will tell you what you want to hear. They will then drop the ball at the last minute and fail to respond in any way. All red tape, no customer focus or communication. The pervasive attitude of "screw you" when they delay all your moving plans. They do what they want when they want. YOU HAVE NOW BEEN WARNED. Google them on home loans and read up.

  Banked here for 8 years. First major chain bank that hasn't exasperated me... I've had no errors, unreasonable fees or other screwups. They were proactive about meeting with me to upgrade my checking account to add features I didn't know I was qualified for (free cashier's checks, money orders, free online bill pay, etc). Their website is decent. Intuitive and integrates well with new ATM features. Online bill pay is nice, but it should really be free to all customers, not just premium. Every banker I've spoken with is really friendly and seems personally invested in the local community. Savings account interest rates are abysmally low, though I suppose that's not entirely WF's fault.

  Great bank! I've been with Wells for 25 years. While they are a large bank with access to ATMs in almost every west coast community, they provide exceptional personal banking services. They don't treat you like just another account number. They act like you are their best account!
